if indeed i am to remain in oak harbor the coming necessity of a job has been imminent, so far as the issue of money.. but a job is more than just a way to earn this tool, a job is good for teaching a person discipline. which i do need.
Well, i got a job, beginning April 1st (No fooling bout it) I have been employed by the resturaunt chain applebees. ;and to note, 1. its a better place to work than my past 3..maybe 4 jobs, maybe all-tho it is work and always will be work 2. its a food place thats healthier than mcdonalds, but i only suggest u eat there if u also workout that same day.
Thus, i has job.
im the opening host thruout the week, so far everyday i work in the morning at 1030-whenever they tell me go home. (which depends on the amount of guests, but on average 230) cept for saturdays, i have had off; and sundays i work 11 or 4.
Thus a smile.
Be it known, i dont smile at every guest because i am paid too (and i actually dont smile at every guest) i do it because i genuinely want them to enjoy their meal. many come by to get away from the stress of work, and or to visit family in a function that gives our bodies energy.
Well, u should know that there are definite regulars, and guests who return reoccuringly either daily, weekly, or monthly. Today i share a visit of one such group. A group of mostly older than me in twelve years asian ladys. aka 40 yrs, and a few 60s. 8 in all. they came not all at once, but in two's over about an hour; and the last two to come in, was a 45ish and a 60ish year old asian lady. the latter, using the younger as a support to walk, looked at me and smiled. I holding the door open, with a smile of my own promptly said the paid for phrase: "welcome, to applebees". with her left arm she then reached for my right hand seemingly and i put out my left hand cautiously. in my preparation for the upcoming awkward handshake my mind was preoccupied when my eyes attempting to alert me that she had grasped my right arm which was crossed in front of my chest; then she pulled up and kissed my lips on the right edge.
Thus, a kiss.
ergo,
thus a startled look.

now that its been a month or two..LONG BLOG
Just thought id blog. Dont really know what about yet, but its coming.
What ive been up to:
I just read thru a book series called the stoneheart series. it was pretty good, and about gargoyles and stuff. Right up my ally.
Also, i just got back the other day from visiting chewbacca peak for snowed in, i went there with the highschool kids from living word. It was fun, the bus ride there was kinda ..boring, but still had a few good parts.
(secretly, i really enjoy long bus rides, they are awesome to me. listening to my ipod without having to worry about getting talked to, and then whenever im ready i can talk to people and they can't run away!) And one dastardly calamity which nearly ended in my untimely demise! let me explain.. on the way, we made a stop at some desert oasis type town. spokane or something. idk, but it was pretty empty but there was a subway. or taco bell. or idk what else, but nothing that counts as an option. well, me and a student went to subway just to find that it was too busy , so we headed to where she wanted to go: taco bell. after getting my usual (soft taco, and a nacho cheese chalupa) i ate half the soft taco and it was Not good. so i decided to trek my endeavor to consume to a more sightly morsel,, and ended up as i said at the time "making out" with my chalupa more than eating it. Yes, that means it was slimy. basically, i was unable to finish either, and just left. but chris (mason) gave me some food. so all was ok.
Then snowed in. there was alot of snow, and thats fun of course. i played alot of board games, and then at night there was a message which was pretty good. and worship was too, my friend jessica led it and did amazing just like everyother time she leads.
I also got to go snowshooing! which was pretty cool, and i was hoping to see an elk or a winter jackelope, but alas and alack these mystical creatures remained hidden for my venture into the snowy slope of chewbacca. altho im pretty sure at one point i heard a tauntaun.
After getting back , i took a moment and sat in my car in the halls driveway, and allowed all the memories of the 3 day weekend to percolate through my brain. while sitting there i decided on the highlights of the weekend.
and heres two; one was meeting new people and even meeting new people from living word! and then getting to hangout with said people, and also getting to know people a little better. Two would be the bus ride back. I dont remember ever getting bored . first i listened to the postal service album give up, 3 times. (maybe that was a bit overboard, but i really dont care). and then some explosions in the sky, and napped thru parts of all this. which revived me to the point that i was concious enough to not be super grumpy, and then i just sat next to kenny G , and talked to caytie and laura, and james, and allison, and it was pretty fun. plus they (caytie and laura, and brie) joined me at subway! no taco bell! and starbucks!! oh the elation from such a positive conjuncture!
so, snowed in was the the best thing so far from last blog. (or so i feel currently)
